Dear WMS Families,
Welcome to a new school year at Weston Middle School! We hope everyone had a wonderful summer and is settling in!
The PTO has been hard at work over the summer, and we’re excited about what’s ahead. This year, we’re looking forward to creating signature events for each grade, introducing new fundraisers, providing meaningful enrichment opportunities for our students, celebrating and appreciating our incredible teachers and staff, and continuing to build a strong and connected WMS community.
But the PTO is only as strong as its membership.
Middle school is often the point when parents naturally begin to step back. Our kids become more independent, they share a little less about their days, and there are fewer opportunities for parents to be inside the school.
We want to encourage you to do just the opposite: lean in.
Joining the PTO is one of the easiest ways to stay connected—and feel connected—to your child’s school experience, to what’s happening at WMS, and to our broader parent community.
Your membership also directly helps us provide the extras that make middle school better: student enrichment, special programs and events, school spirit, and meaningful teacher and staff appreciation.
Joining does not mean signing up for a second job! There is no requirement to volunteer or attend meetings. We would love for you to get involved in whatever way works for your schedule and interests—but simply becoming a member makes a difference.
We have a great year ahead, and we hope you’ll be part of it.
We can’t wait to see you this year!
